About Dexamethasone Injection
Dexamethasone is a corticosteroid medication that may assist with various conditions due to its potential anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressant properties. It may be prescribed for conditions including severe allergic reactions, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and certain autoimmune diseases. Additionally, dexamethasone may help reduce inflammation and swelling associated with brain tumors, spinal cord injuries and other severe medical conditions.[1][2]
The medication is administered via injection, which allows for rapid and controlled delivery directly into the bloodstream or affected area. It may help suppress the immune response and reduce the release of inflammatory chemicals in the body.[2][3]
Storage
Store this medication at 68°F to 77°F (20°C to 25°C) and away from heat, moisture and light. Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Throw away any unused medicine after the beyond use date. Do not flush unused medications or pour down a sink or drain.
